Week 8: Parks of Albany

Grand Prairie is a highly popular park around the town of Albany. The ducks located at Grand Prairie Park have grown to be fearless of humans. People often visit the park to play basketball, walk a little trail, or just sit and enjoy the peace. Locals are known to feed the ducks. It's a rule to stay away from bread when you're feeding ducks; as it doesn't have nutritional value for them and it will fill their stomach leaving no storage for the food they naturally eat. There are oats, cracked corn, thawed frozen peas, along with many other healthy alternatives.

The sun rising over a newly built apartment complex; viewed from the Grand Prairie parking lot. Before the sun comes up the park is still and quiet, no wildlife in sight. As soon as the light peaks through the silhouettes of the trees the ducks emerge from their slumber and speak loudly for whoever will listen.

Deerfield Park is another widely known park in Albany, Oregon. It's often remembered for its big yellow slide that sits in the middle of the playground. Its a fantastic location to bring your dog if they love to run around. Additionally throughout the year there are multiple minute miniscule beautiful moments to capture. Such as this bright yellow blooming Dandelion. November.
